First steps of joining CoBeNe
Once you have secured a PhD position and been admitted to the University of Vienna, you need to
- Read our Code of Good Practice and sign it to officially become a member of the VDS CoBeNe
- Sign up for one of our Welcome and Information meetings (see below) to get to know the CoBeNe office team and your peers, as well as learn more about the PhD programme.

We regularly offer welcome and information meetings for new candidates starting at our Doctoral School. Our goal is to support you at the beginning and give you the most important guidelines for your PhD journey. In this meeting we will go through the whole process of the PhD life cycle and give you information about our school in general.
You are also welcome to prepare questions you are interested in. And we are looking forward to hearing more about you and your research!
